3 iPad Apps For Document Creation
Last year Microsoft finally unveiled Office for iPad. Most of the core functionality we have come to expect using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is now available with the free version of the iPad app, however, you must have an Office 365 account for more advanced text and layout viewing, editing, and sharing. Thankfully, there are other options for document creation on the go!
If you are looking for alternatives to Microsoft Office for document creation on your iPad, here are a few apps to consider.
WPS Office (Free)
If you need a “full suite” app, WPS Office comes very close to matching the Microsoft Office experience on your iPad. WPS Office bundles a word processor (WPS Writer), spreadsheet tool (WPS Spreadsheets), and presentation manager (WPS Presentation), and is fully compatible with Microsoft Office, PDF, and dozens of other document formats.
iWord Processor Pro ($9.99)
iWord Processor Pro is a rich-text capable word processing app that lets you create and edit Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, Open Office, and PDF documents on your iPad. Other useful features include voice dictation, Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive syncing, Word to PDF and PDF to Word document conversion, password protection, and PDF annotation capabilities.
Documents to Go® Premium ($16.99)
With Documents To Go® Premium, you can view, edit, and create Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents (caveat: PowerPoint is view and edit only) from your iPad. You can also view PDF files. Other helpful features include basic change tracking and the ability to sync with your preferred cloud service (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive or SugarSync).
